Managing Director- Hero FinCorp & Chairperson of CSR Committee
Through our lives, we continually consume resources available to us. Too often we take it as our right rather than as a privilege. In fact our industries’ thrive on using resources made available to us from earth without us thinking much about our consumption. While nature does not complain, we could choose to be more responsible and think of ways of giving back, striking a balance. We can choose not to undermine the importance of giving to others and our environment and be a part of a cycle where giving and taking happens in sustainable proportions.
At HeroFincorp we aim to ‘give back’ through our various CSR initiatives and create value for our community and environment. Our CSR initiatives are ways by which we enhance sensibility and accountability in our employees, towards the challenges our world faces. We aspire to create a culture of care and build an organization where our sustainable growth brings value to the lives of many.

Farming which was the foundation of our civilization, has now become very challenging, and often becomes a heartbreaking activity for our farmers. In a nation where the agriculture sector employs around 50% of the total workforce, farmers in distress is not a good sign.
In an effort to bring Indian farmers out of their poor and exploitative situations, we partnered with Isha Outreach and extended our support for their model – Farmer-Producer Organization (FPO). The model was developed five years ago to help the farmers around Coimbatore.
The key interventions of the model are aimed at building farmer’s bargaining power via economies of scale, training of farmers to increase their productivity, creating platforms for networking, making them self-sufficient and giving them access to market trends and market prices so they are not exploited.
Since the inception, the initiative has been successful in bringing 1065 farmers together from 61 villages.
According to some estimates, 25% of India is turning into desert and there is 75% less water per person as compared to 1947.

Throughout the campaign, there were on ground events which reached out to the local population to help them realize the importance of the issue.

We at Hero FinCorp believe that it's every individual's right to be able to read and write. Providing the right education at initial stages of life enables an individual to lead a financially stable life.
Continuing with the same thought, we support primary education of children through our partner foundation Raman Kant Munjal Foundation(RKMF). The company funds and supports the future of the country to move towards a path of success.
